Oh Yeah, Rain my Ass

Just for the record, Mr. Weatherman was wrong again!!! For which we are grateful.

We headed off for the Olhão market with our list……honey, black figs, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, and (if we could find them) fresh artichokes. We managed to check every thing off our list plus enjoyed running into a few friends, lovely catch-up chats, and even a coffee.

The day was getting warmer and warmer, the clouds dissipated, and finally disappeared, which made all of us a bit light in our loafers!! We headed off to Dinis’s for lunch, which was as always, a fun experience with great food then onward to Barril Beach.

We decided to sit on the terrace, the sound of the sea pounding on the shoreline as the weather alert is still in place, and relaxed with “beverages” and fun filled conversations. I have to say, with Wendy and Norm here, we’ve been belly laughing and having such a good time.

Twas a lovely day all around and we are delighted to note that the weatherman, whom up till now is not very accurate, has offered up a week of gorgeous sunny weather. We’re hoping his days of telling fibs is behind him!

Enjoy this wonderful trip on the Barril Beach train, compliments of Marc

  1. Oh my gosh, the Ranunculus are absolutely gorgeous! I just looked them up to see if they are sent it or not. Apparently not so much. If there is a scent it’s said to be very very faint but Pleasant.
I’m glad the rain held off. Let’s hope that the weatherman does a complete flip and starts telling the honest truth now. LOL
The train ride was sweet, I absolutely loved watching the waves on the beach. Especially the ones out just a little bit further and how they were so big they were rolling over themselves. That was delightful to see. Thanks Marco.
Norm and Wendy will not want to leave. I can’t say I blame them.
It amazes me how differently people dress. Some are down to the very bare minimum, While others are dressed up with big winter coats and hats! It just seems so extreme to me.
    Love and hugs.

    1. Don’t forget, it’s still winter here for Europeans, and although we just saw the 1st day of spring arrive, it’s still cool for them. For us, it’s heaven!

  2. Well, well, Randy, you have just made my day, month and year! Very few people know that poppies come in many, many shades but blue is my absolute favourite! Thank you for capturing it so beautifully. I know they are rare but you nailed it! 🤗
Wendy and Norm must be pinching themselves at the fabulous sights and sounds they are experiencing, including the views, history and food, last but not least! I am sure you and Marc are pinching yourselves as well, since you both love showing your Paradise to everyone. For those of us who have already experienced it, each of your blogs generate immense joy for us! Your photos and comments take us right back there! Thank you so much! ❤️

    1. Now how did I know that that would make your heart skip a beat? LOL As soon as I saw it I raced over to get that shot, and let me tell you, with the wind blowing as it was. that was no easy feat. Yes, we are loving showing off all the things we love about this area and as Wendy and Norm are soaking it all in, and loving it, it validates our impressions. Love and Hugs
