Relax, Relax, and Relax

Following our very full day yesterday we had determined that the only thing on our agenda today would be relaxation, not that yesterday wasn’t relaxing, just that it took loads of energy and coming off that “high” left us feeling pooped. Needless to say, a long leisurely morning was our reward.

We had connected with Diane and Daniel and finally we agreed that it would be lovely to meet in Olhão, find a patio for lunch and simply relax together. It ended up being a perfect decision and was quite agreeable to all.

We met at the  Olhão market, our usual Saturday morning haunt, simply a day late, sat and enjoyed a bica then headed off to the marina to sit on the sunshine and eat. Twas not meant to be, when we arrived every table was either occupied or had a reserved sign. We were very pleasantly turned away.

Our second choice, pizza!!!! And as luck would have it, we secured the second last table available on the terrace.

We ended up sitting, relaxing, sharing in fun conversation, good food, and just a tiny bit of vino!!! No rushing, simply hanging out.

Diane and Daniel walked us back to our car, goodbyes and then Marc and I headed off for a short grocery shop then home to relax on our terrace beside the pool. Our wish for relaxation was most certainly realized.

These last two photos were taken just at the end of our road. I discovered a small field full of scilla peruviana, in almost every stage of blooming you can imagine. Also, a huge cluster of bee and mirror orchids. One doesn’t have to stray far to find immense beauty available. I love Mother Nature!
