Daylight Savings

Daylight savings happened here in Portugal yesterday and regardless what ones opinion on the entire subject might be, I’m sitting here right now at 20h00 and it’s beautiful and bright outside, a tiny pink hue just starting to form on the western skyline. Makes this boy happy.

Rico and Laurie headed off for Seville today, a short stay with us but better than no stay at all. We thoroughly enjoyed our two days together and as we know we’ll see each other again soon in Canada, it was ok that it was short-lived.

And speaking of “leaving”..

We headed into Tavira late morning to meet up for a farewell visit/lunch with Marcel and Oneta, who head back to Canada on Thursday. It’s now, that folks are starting to wind down and head home, that makes Marc and I sit up and take notice that we don’t have all that much time left here either! It’s time to make our list of all the things we want to do before we too are heading to the airport.

Our long range forecast is nothing but sunshine and happiness……….tomorrow, another hike booked with Debbie and Fred then tomorrow night, another goodbye dinner with good friends. In the meantime, we will enjoy and live each day to the fullest in our winter home away from home.

Ciao

  1. Lovely tell your mudder. I’m sure you will have a grand hike tomorrow.

  2. So nice to see Laurie and Rico in Portugal all smiles!!! I hope they enjoy Seville and their trip up north. Maybe our spring will have sprung by the time they return home. 🤞
    Beautiful colourful lunches! Yum!

    1. They should have quite the week in Seville given it’s Holy Week, lots of special things to see and do.
