Time is a Whisper

Our weather, like our health, has been a bit suspect the last few days! One moment everything feels wonderful, It’s sunny and bright, the sky blue and we’re pulling off a layer. The next the skies are dark, the threat of rain hovering very near, and we’re reaching to put that sweater back on.

I headed off for an appointment this morning along with a couple of errands and by the time I arrived home the fabulous smell of tomato and curry hit my nose and I suddenly realized, I can smell again!!!!!!! Yahoo. Curried meatballs for dinner this evening, can’t wait.

I was feeling the need to move and proposed lunch out. Marc was in agreement and as we hadn’t yet enjoyed a lunch on one of our favourite squares (Moncarapacho), off we headed.

I can’t express how much I enjoy moments like these, where the day slips by like a soft whisper and it goes from feeling as if I’ve just gotten up to suddenly realizing the church clock has tolled 14h30, and it passed in the blink of an eye. I once read that time is a gift we open every day. I liked it when I first read it and I liked it when I thought of it again today.

We headed down to the recycle, just to stretch our legs and lungs, and of course I always take my camera. Again I was struck by the flora and fauna from here to there, less than a km. What a little rain and sunshine can do thanks to Mother Nature.

Marc hasn’t been doing much with his video taking of later however he was motivated by the loveliness of wildflowers on our way down to the recycle…….enjoy his video taken on the way back to the house. It’s lovely.

The day slips by like a soft whisper……what a lovely thought. Thanks for that my friend. ❤️

    1. Thanks Bridget. Was wonderful to see you and meet Bill. I’ll look forward to next year. Take care

  3. Lovely shots you made my day! Marco’s video really zeroed in on the beauty of the wild gladioli. Very nice!
Moncarapacho is such a tranquil spot, great place for reflection, when not busy.
Your thought on time is well taken….time whiled away and time wasted are two entirely different things. Good to know the difference. And you and Marco definitely do!

    1. Moncarapacho is a wonderful place to go and sit back to watch the world go by………we have plans to do that at least a couple of more times before heading home in just over two weeks…….yikes, did I just say that!!!!
